We've just released a major update to the demo!


Experience the new splash screen and animated main menu with an original theme composed by Ben Randall.

Ben has composed an OST for Final Outpost: Definitive Edition, including new cutscene music and four ambient tracks that play intermittently in-game, creating a whole new atmosphere for you to experience.

We added controller and keyboard glyphs and added a shortcut for enabling infinite assign mode in the job menu and fixed a bunch of bugs.


We've also thrown in a sneak peek at the modifier system where you'll be able to collect stamps for every new Outpost you play!

A New Main Menu?


We have begun working on a new version of the main menu for FO:DE.

The new main menu borrows our incredible capsule artwork and brings it to life with subtle animations added to the zombies, turrets and sky colour.


We've even thrown in a special blood-moon artwork variant for you to find. But when does it appear?

The demo for FO:DE is releasing today, 13th December.


Dear players,


The demo for Final Outpost: Definitive Edition is out now!


This is the first time that a bunch of new features will be playable so we hope you get stuck in and enjoy it. So let's go through what's new.


What's new in the demo?

Traders

ree

Traders stop by your Outpost every 3 days with a range of trade offers. Gold has been added to the same as a currency to enable the exchange of resources.

One might even save your citizens from the brink of starvation!


Difficulty Modes

The demo includes the Normal and Classic difficulties, each with their own leaderboards. Classic is slightly more difficult as you cannot rewind to an earlier save when your Outpost is destroyed.

Normal mode has a new manually editable save panel which allows you to rewind time and try out new strategies.


Environment + UI Changes

ree

We've improved the forest and rubble images, added dirt and grass tufts around the map, brought the colour palette together, and cleaned up season transitions for a more cohesive visual look.


The UI has also been updated for PC with a new control panel that includes a 7.5x speed toggle.


Controller Support

In the demo you can play until the beginning of the first Winter. But there's a twist: we've added a new scoring system that allows you to compete with your friends to build the best Outpost before time runs out!
